ErrorMsg: Could Not Find Acrobat External Window Handler

I am getting the error message "Could Not Find Acrobat External Window Handler". I used the knowledgebase and found Document 326299 "Error "Could not find Acrobat External Windows Handler" occurs when you view a PDF file (Acrobat and Adobe Reader 4.x-6.x on Windows)Issue"

I have installed Adobe Reader 7.0.8 and I'm still getting the error with every Internet Explorer 6.029 click on a .pdf link.

It was suggested that External Window Handler (ewh32.api) is in the Plug-ins folder. I have confirmed EWH32.api is in fact installed in C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 7.0\Reader\plug_ins\EWH32.api and is 86,627 bytes and was created Friday, September 23, 2005, 11:51:54 PM.

After clincking "Ok" on the error message Acrobat opens the subject .pdf.

Any suggestions on how to eliminate this error message would be greatly appreciated.
