Very few seem to have the problem, but those that do find it hard to get rid of. For some it has something to do with a file being active and not able to be removed or replaced (hence trying to boot in safe mode). The Microsoft Uninstaller isn't really an uninstaller, really, from what I gather, it tries to remove all related entries in the registry. If booting in safe mode doesn't do and the uninstaller doesn't do it, there are two choices that I can see and clean install of the OS or manually removing the traces of Reader in the registry. However, manually editing the registry is fraught with dangers. Mike
