pdfs print automatically when opened

For the last few days, every time I click on a pdf email attachment, it is sent to the printer, rather than just opened. I can't find a setting that addresses this. It has also happened when I open a document using Acrobat 6.0, but not every time.
Has this ever happened to anyone else?
Any thoughts?
