Rebecca: sometimes this happens when the color preferences have become corrupted. Try this:

1. Choose Start > Run and type %APPDATA%\Adobe\Acrobat\7.0\Prefernces in the Open text box. Click OK.
2. Drag the AcrobatColorSettings.csf file to the Recycle Bin
 Good Luck!
