Can not open .pdf

Hello,

When I try to open .pdf file it gives me to update plug in.. I update and try opening again and it tells me that I need to update again. Is there any solution to this or I'm doing something wrong? With Adobe Acrobat Reader 7.x everything was fine, right now I'm trying to use Adobe Reader 8.0
