I had this problem when I upgraded from 6 to 7. So when 8 came out I thought 'Great' maybe they have fixed the problem. I have tried the fixes in the FAQ and even Adobe's TechNote 329444 - where the only solution that worked was 'Solution 4: Log into a new user account' This is an UN-ACCEPTABLE solution. I have wasted 2 days, thrashed various other programs on my system and reverted back to Ver 6. I like the whole PDF concept but I have never liked the sluggishness of Acrobat and this is a real pain.
