I accidentially found a discussion about un-installing 7.0 and re-installing 8.0, pasted it for your reference, good luck, hope it works.......

OK everybody, here's what you do.

Go to <http://tinyurl.com/47de>

Scroll down until you see the word RESOLUTION and under that a little link that is msicuu2.exe

Click on that and save it to your desktop.

* *WARNING*** Misusing this utility for whatever reason other than removing uninstallable programs canmake them unusable.

Double click on the desktop\msicuu2.exe and install the Windows Install Cleanup Utility.

Then go to Start > Programs > Windows Install Cleanup Utility

This will bring up a window. Look thrugh the list until you see the progtram you are having issues uninstalling. You shoud see something like (All Users) Adobe Reader 7.0.X

Select it and click Remove.

Hint: It's best to download the exact same program and install that. THEN un-install it (to clean out the registry). You then should have no problems installing Adobe Reader 8.0

If you like, double click on the desktop\msicuu2.exe to un-install the Windows Install Cleanup Utility
