Hi MarkATS, Well, my answer is yes and no. Sometimes, it's just "AdobeUpdater.exe", but today I caught both of them working in tandem, along with a 2nd Updater. To be clear, I had three entries in my Processes tab relating to Adobe Reader: "AdobeUpdater.exe" - twice, and "AcroRd32.exe". All I remember, is that between TWO of them, they were taking up 100% CPU usage. When I killed one of them, the single updater left took up the whole 100% by itself. Unfortunately, I can't remember exactly where the "AcroRd32.exe" came into play except it was there along with the other two Updaters. Hope this helps you. Thanks for checking in here, I appreciate it. This is really frustrating. I did read an earlier post where someone went back to version 7, that is now patched since the malware scare? Would you recommend doing that, or hanging on with 8 until Adobe figures something out? Thanks. Regards, Karla
