Ben, I stumbled on to an appearent fix for the Adobe/IE7 conflict. while attempting to un freeze the web page with the blank adobe page on top, a dialog box appeared that said the following Add-on encountered a problem: Name AcroPDF.dll, Company Adobe Systems Inc.,Description Adobe PDF Browser Control. At the bottom of the box a link, "Advanced" Going there gives a list of all Add-ons running in the Browser, and the named add-on was noted as the problem and by selecting it you have a radio button to Enable or Diablle the Add-on. There were two Adobe add-ons and I disabled both of them and my Chase bank login works!!

I don't know if it is a permanent fix? Will advise here after the next boot-up.
