When I try to install Adobe Reader I get the following error message -
'Error1714. The older version of Adobe Reader 7.0.9 cannot be removed. Contact your technical support group'. I get a similar message irrespective of whether I am trying to install version 7 or version 8.

When I try to uninstall my current version I get the following message -
'The patch packet could not be opened. Verify that the patch packet exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows installer patch packet.'

Anybody any idea what this all means please?
