I have OS 10.4.8 and am having the exact same problem that Beth Roybal and Smokeytams described. When downloading a pdf, I can view it for a few seconds before it crashes and takes Safari with it. Any further solutions? I may try Smokeytams idea, but I am wary of messing with plugins, etc.. I'm going to try to call Adobe tomorrow.
