Ok Its old, but I need a answer. Regular help cant help me.

Windows 98 gone to ME 1999 - 2003 / low memory / old files previous Reader still existing along with the newest files after Windows 'deleted from system' the older version. Files with the number version on it.

Neither version is current or supported by help, and at this time can not download a improved version. The system is dying, and I want to know if zapping the (not zipping) older files will kill the newer files? - thanks

John
