Hello, Where can I find the release notes for Adobe Updater 5.1.1? <http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4103> Apparently this release contains fixes for network proxies, but I want to understand if that has really been fixed before deploying to my users. Thanks in advance. John

Are you sure that Updater 5.1.1 is for Adobe Reader?

Its not clear: Quote: "The Adobe Updater 5.1.1 update requires that ... or Adobe Reader๏ฟฝ 8 is installed on your system." So my understanding from that quote is that Adobe Reader 8 used Adobe Updater. What I do know is that Adobe Reader tries to update itself by downloading the same update file thousands of times through my proxy server!

I don't see this updater installing itself; it is a 23MB ZIP file.

P.S. the latest Updater is 6.0.2 at <http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4231>
