I first purchased the e-book from Amazon, but it was a nightmare for me... I had Adobe Reader 7.0.8 downloaded, but when I tried to download the e-book, always the error message showed "Your Adobe software could not be activated. The Adobe DRM Activator is not responding." I had followed all the useful instructions to try to activate the DRM, but failed and failed and failed. I am sort of regret for purchasing the e-book. Originally thought I could help to save our earth by reading e-book instead. Who can help me? Thank you so much.

I have had the same message, "Your Adobe software could not be activated. The Adobe DRM Activator is not responding" and after a few days and three adobe support people I have found a solution.

I was told Adobe 7.0.8 is not working well with ebooks and you should download 6.0.
Uninstall 7.0.8
Go to Adobe products and under Adobe 7.0.8n hit the "Choose a different version" YOu have to lie to the system that you have Windows '98 or it will try to download 7.0.8 again. Download 6.0
Make sure your ebook files are deleted or moved.
And make sure all your temorary internet files are deleted.
Also that your internet security is disabled during download.

I hope this helps.
