Running WinXP Pro. Acrobat Reader 7.07 got messed up while trying to install 7.08 update. Tried removing using Windows Add/Remove programs and got error message that couldn't find installation files. Tried manual removal methods listed. Tried installing ver.6 and removing that, thinking old files lingering on PC...Now, trying to install 7.08 full version fails. Can find NO HELP on installation/removal issues for AcroRead on Adobe web site....HELP!!!

Hi Larry Had the same problem. First, remove the files manually. Secondly, use this program: <http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;290301> It can remove the adobe from the add/remove programs. Then you should be able to reinstall from scratch. -Kenneth

Thanks for reply. Will give it a try. Seems the 7.08 update was not ready for prime time when released, based on the number of issues raised on this forum!
