Jay--

It really depends on what you're doing. In general, I find VB much faster than AppleScript--mostly because of AppleScript's slow iteration. While you can use filter ("whose") clauses to avoid some iteration in AppleScript, there are some cases where you simply have to iterate. When that happens, the slowness of the channel (AppleEvents) will get you.

I don't notice InDesign itself being faster or slower on machines of similar clock speeds (comparing my 500Mhz Powerbook to my 450Mhz PIII, for example). But the speed difference between VB and AppleScript is very noticeable.

Thanks,

Ole
