Topics be damned! You can create your queery in the access interface and use that as the dataset for your form. Or you can use SQL queerys in the VB. You can also apply a filter to the dataset of your form. Learning how to get data out of access was the hardest part of that project. And BTW VB for Dummies was no help there. The best place for help on data access and queerys is: msdn.microsoft.com. You can search the entire Microsoft Developers Network. The answers are in there, but watch out: If you go off searching for info on queeries and connections you're going to get info that spans three or four different connection objects and it's tough to understand which one each help document is referring to. There are subtle differences in the properties and methods available to the various objects. The one I wound up using is: ADODB. Try to qualify your searches by adding ADO or ADODB to the search string. Best of luck, Ben P.S. I just realized you're using Office 2002 and WIN XP. I hope my suggestions are still valid. I use Ofice 2000 and WIN 2000. The newer version of Access might use yet another connection object.
