Ok, I think I know what's going on. I am able to print the book by using:

tell application "Indesign 2.0.1"
     print book 1 with dialog
end tell

You can not reference a book by using the terminology "active book" or "active document. So that solved my terminology problem.

My second problem is with setting an Active Priner Style. I tried setting up my script with the following:

tell application "Indesign 2.0.1"
tell print preferences of book 1
set active printer style to "MyPrinterStyle"
set the print file to MyFilePath
end tell
Print book1 without print dialog
end tell

Everytime I run this script I get a Type 2 error. The problem seems to lie in setting the print preferences for this book. I've noticed that when you go under Printer Styles with a book open, all the styles are greyed out, but when you have a document open, they are not. Could this be a bug. I'd love for someone else to confirm this or maybe there is another way I should be scripting these commands.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Michael Allison
