Benny--

It was because (former) QuarkXPress kept moving images inside their clipping paths by accident. Rather than adjust their behavior, they whined and moaned about it (my friend David Blatner spent several paragraphs grousing about it in one of his Macworld pieces). They were right--it was too easy to move images inside their clipping paths. But that still doesn't excuse the tantrums thrown around the issue.<g>

The InDesign team changed the way that clipping paths work, but we left the scripting implementation about the same as it was in 1.5--I think we just didn't catch on to the ramifications of the change in time (heck, I didn't notice it until after 2.0 had shipped).

Thanks,

Ole
