Okay, 

Thanks for the suggestion. 

That would make sense.  I'm only trying to take the easy way out first. 

Now that I remember, you did say AICB.  My mistake.  But is Illustrator even scriptable?  I don't seem to have a Type Library available in VB6 for Illustrator.
