I've taken to putting my scripts behind REALbasic buttons in a floating palette (that nestles below the two-column toolbox) in order to get one-click access to them without using up a lot of screen real-estate. I use the OSA menu for less frequently used scripts and I don't use the Scripts Palette because it is too large (I'm working on a single monitor on an old G3 that is high on the list for replacement -- perhaps when it is replaced, I'll change my strategy).

It also happens that I'm using 9.1 for my production machines, so I don't have the same problem with the keyboard shortcuts -- although, I've noticed that InDesign 2 is more sensitive to problems than was InDesign 1.5.2 when using OSA menu shortcuts -- so it might not be just a 9.2 thing and it might not be something that can be fixed entirely outside of InDesign.
