Yep, works like a charm. 

I added a line to the 'if' area to prevent minor chapter headings and such to appear: 

if (length of story myCounter of myDocument) >10 then    tell story myCounter of myDocument    --Export formats are: tagged text, text type, and RTF    export format RTF to myFilePath without showing options end tell end if
