Shane,

 I see, now, the difference between the masters in XPress and InDesign. Thanks, Shane, for your lights !!!

 But... sorry for my incomprehension. I tried this script, with an error on line 6:

 "Enable to obtain id of text frame "Frame 1" of master spread 1 of document 1." (that's a translation from French, apologise for mistakes)

 tell application "InDesign 2.0"
 tell document 1
 tell master spread 1
 make text frame with properties {geometric bounds:{"10 mm", "10 mm", "40 mm", "40 mm"}, label:{"Frame 1"}}
 end tell
 set n to id of text frame "Frame 1" of master spread 1
 set myMainFrame to master page item id n of page 1
 tell myMainFrame
 set contents of it to "blablabla"
 end tell
 end tell
 end tell

 Olivier.
