I'm working on some technical descriptive text, set in Goudy Old Style. Occasionally I run up on temperature ranges, which are usually minus 40 to plus 80 degrees Celcius. I've been using the hyphen for the minus sign since there are other number range sequences that work with the hyphen. Although the en-dash would probably look better, the consistancy of using the hyphen seems best. I'm also reluctant to set up another style rule for these projects, which would give me one more thing to have to look for, and one more opportunity to make mistakes by changing some and missing others. Any suggestions? Thanks.
