Just checked out Omniweb. Looks like a solid effort for a native Mac browser. BUT.....Having to BUY a license for a Web Browser? I don't think so. Too bad though, the thumbnail-window viewer in v.5b.7 looks like a nice feature. The preferences section is a bit much. Some of these options like cookies and privacy could be combined into one section since they are related, thus simplifying the preference area. One thing that the guys @ Omni need to remove is the locked start page on the unlicensed version. With so many great FREE browsers out there, Omni doesn't have a chance with a pay-to-license browser with these restrictions. It's a shame, because the interface looks nice. If it's ever free, I'll give it a second chance. There seem to be a lot of innovative Mac-specific features (like speech recognition) that may be future trends, but for now, free is better. - JB
