Netscape 7x, Mozilla and Firefox are all based on the same Gecko rendering engine; I can't see why they should support standards differently and testing my sites in all three produces identical results. These are the Gecko build numbers for each browser: Netscape 7.1: Gecko/20030624 Mozilla 1.6: Gecko/20040113 Firefox: Gecko/20040206 The new popup blocker in IE Win will reportedly attempt to block any popup not created with MS's proprietary createPopUp code, whereas the blockers in other browsers don't block requested popups created with standards-compliant js (Ecmascript). The page I read (linked from webstandards.org, I think) speculated that a lot of popups aren't going to work in IE Win. Maybe a good reason for abandoning them completely :-)
