Chris, Have you registered your IP ? If yes, where did you get it from? and have you made sure that www.mysite.com points to your IP. Are you using a PPP or eth connection to the net? If you're looking for something quick and dirty, and you have a dynamic IP (ie: it changes every time you logon to the net), give yourself a YI hostname. go to www.yi.org and sign up for a free account. You then download a small shell script and it will update your dynamic IP to your yi hostname every time you want to, so by doing this, every time you go to eg: www.mysite.yi.org it will go to your IP. Since I don't know how you have your IP, or even what your IP is, I can't help you further, please tell me a little more if you can. If you feel like you can battle it out on your own, A few pointers will be the file /etc/hosts: check that all the hostnames there tally up with the IP addresses. Check that your Linux box has the correct hostname and or IP set: If you have a red hat based linux distro (redhat, mandrake, definite, etc) you can run netconf as root and set up the network from there. Good Luck, Al. In article <mGSK5.49486$YX4.1606791@news2.giganews.com>, "Chris" <chris@rockfort.com> wrote: > Hi.. I am 4 weeks into Rehat Linux/Apache.
