open a terminal or use text mode and then "man smb" (w/o quotes) .  I have a
small book (all 600pgs ish) called "Samba Black Book"  Written by Dominic
Baines and Published by Coriolis Open Press.  It has TONS of info on samba and
also comes with a CD in the back of it.
