!!! Shadow/Login Problem -Desperate HELP!!!

Hi,
Last night I was installing X on my Redhat 6.1.

This morning I am faced with a problem that none of my Shadow users can
login.

Any user that uses normal - passwd encrypted in /etc/passwd - can login
succesfully.

I tried changing passwords for some users, I tried looking for answers
in HOWTO's, docos, NG.

I am desperate PLEASE HELP.
