Hem,.. another NIC problem

You have to know what IO base and IRQ that your NIC used in your system
(Linux Box)

If you're lucky maybe the IO and IRQ that "winblows" used is appropriate
setting for Linux.--> You can find it in your winblows
System Properties->Device Manager->Network Adapters->your NIC
properties->Resources

Write it down the:
Interupt Request (IRQ) =
Input/Output Range =

But if not then you have to find out by yourself,... pitty,..
(See your NIC manual or documentation if available)

After you find out the IO and IRQ info

try this command (as root, of course):

$ modprobe ne2k-pci.o io=your IO base irq=your NIC IRQ

If linux is recognize the NIC,.. then try pingin' other host in your
network.

If your packet is receive back forth ( No request time out ,.!!) then I
guess it works,.. so you can smile now,..

Then the last thing you need to do is do this,.. (if you like to work in
console)

$ netconf

then you have to configured your NIC e.g eth0 or eth1 and so on,..
with the right setting you've just got, in:
	Basic Host Information

that's all

Mesa
