Hello all: I've had to upgrade my Vid Card. I have an ATI xpert 2k, same driver as an xpert99. Anyways, Suse makes a Driver for the Rage 128 Chipset. Just tonight, I got Fed up with Linux. Mostly frustrated that I can't figure out how to get X back up and running. So, I've restored my Root Boot sectors, and partitions (so it is like Just after Windows 98 was installed). Anyways, I was wondering, since my Mandrake 6.1 disk has an option for Lin4Win setup, if anyone has tried it. I've installed it a long time ago using many partitions, and it seems to work great. What is the real difference between the Traditional Linux, and the new lin4Win? Does Lin4win use 1 partition, or multiple? does Lin4win use the Windows98 GUI, or does it use the KDE? I, like many, have a ton of MS compatible software. Mainly games. Would I need to use a Wine emulator, or simmilar, or would they work fine without? I don't want to loose Linux, but partitioning my HDD makes me nervous. Anyone who knows the differences, pleae let me know. Thanks again -James
