Hard drive problem!

Having used a Quantum 2.5Gb drive for RH 6.0 I am now upgrading to a WD
8.4Gb  and as I wanted to sell my old box and the drive as a windows
formatted box I have tried to format and boot from the drive but all I
receive is an error message that windows cannot load as there is compressed
cache or cache which must be removed before win install will take place !!
Does any one have any idea of how to remove or fix this problem?
