GnoRPM install does not install

I've tried installing various RPMs with GnoRPM and have had no luck.

I have Redhat 6.0 CD's and I am trying to install KDE (and other
things) I can select all the RPMs and get them into the GnoRPM list
and when I click on "INSTALL" nothing happens.

(I've even tried rpm -i from a terminal)

I must rank as the most confused Linux Newbie on the planet.

(P.S. I ain't givining up till I learn C and I am writing my own
versions of drivers, apps, etc ... and become bored  :o)
