Actually, I agree with David. I just thought to suggest the cheapest way to get a computer. The best deal would be to go to one of those smaller computer stores and get a generic computer. Usually these computers are made from parts that can be upgraded easily but you still have to ask. These crappy all-in-one motherboards are finding their way into the OEM market as well. Stay away from name brand systems. You really can't upgrade these. Those generic computers really aren't generic. The parts in them (usually) are actually name brand parts but they are brands that are known in the OEM market but not in the retail market. You can get a Pentium II motherboard with say a PII 350Mhz CPU and then upgrade it all the way up to a PIII 450-500 and maybe even higher with the same board. This can save you lots of money in the future because you only need to pay for the parts that you need to upgrade. If you have one of those all-in-one motherboards, you may need to not only buy a new motherboard but also a new video card, sound card, and whatever else is built into the board. This is good for the manufacturer because they make more money but it's bad for us. I hope this clarifies things a bit.
