If you are trying to mount the drives as another user I understand exactly what
you mean.  Log in as root and go into the file manager.  In the /etc folder
right click on mount and hit properties.  Go to the permissions and set it to
full permissions, even suid, guid, and sticky.  This will allow anyone to mount
the drives.  You can adjust the permission level to minimal, but this will make
it work.
