Hello
I am a shop teacher in McCreary Manitoba.  We have a very small Spectralight
mill with old Dos based software.  This software is extremely frustrating
for the students to learn on as it cannot import any windows based files, is
extremely inflexible and is generally hard to learn with.  Our school is
from Kindergarten to Grade 12 with a population of 200.  As we are such as
small school obviously our budget is extremely low. I have very little
experience in this area and am learning on the go.  Also I am trying to
upgrade our software and am presently looking for some sort of cad/cam
learning package to help the students as well as myself.    I am contacting
various companies trying to find a cheap  educational package which they
might sell cheap or perhaps donate to the school.  I was hoping that there
would be some older packages out there that would be a big improvement over
what we presently have.  Any donations or help would be greatly appreciated
and acknowledged in our Technology Teacher's Provincial Association
Newsletter.  Every year more of the schools in the province are buying these
small mills for their shop programs so perhaps future sales would result for
any company which could help us.  I would gladly volunteer our school shop
and mill if any company would wish to demonstrate their product to other
