Mouse freezing up

Almost every time I use my computer the mouse freezes up.  If I go to
control panel and reinstall the same driver it will work again, sometimes
for a few seconds or until I shut down.  I tried different drivers, all seem
todo the same thing.  I have a pentium 120, windows 95 and a standard
Microsoft mouse.  Does anyone have any ideas on what could be wrong.
