I've had such problems many times over the year. Invariably, it always had some relationship to the sound card. If your problem is similar, there are several things to try: 1. Edit your autoexec.bat to envoke a mouse driver BEFORE any existing references to sound entries. Many will claim that Windows 9x will automatically "find" what mouse driver it needs. While this is true (mainly), it does nothing to treat of your problem of conflicting addresses. 2. Discover just which file is your Windows (or DOS) mouse driver, and replace it with another, perhaps from a different version of Windows. And, there exists many 3rd party drivers as well. Mouse drivers usually are not a critical factor. Several out of a bunch will work. I'd be interested to know if either of these remedies helped. ===================================================== Gary Williams wrote: > Almost every time I use my computer the mouse freezes up.
