Keep in mind, also, that only one of the four gospels records Jesus going to
Egypt - this is probably an addition made by someone so that things would
match up with the Moses story better.

Also, none of the historians of the time recorded a slaughtering of Jewish
babies - even the one historian who really, *really* hated Herod.
