I know you may have heard this before but............ 3 has a special internal promotional offer that has been extended to Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth (and is still available for Sydney & Melbourne) to celebrate the launching of services in those cities from July 2003. The deal comprises: - 50% off the retail price of a mobile. eg NEC 606 at $384 (no connection fee if purchased outright or $16 per month +$100 connection fee) - $300 credit for a future handset upgrade so you'll be able to get the next cool mobile in 12 months time. (NEC 606 cost therefore $84) - Free content based services until 31 December 2003 (i.e. download ringtones; look up the weather, horoscopes and sports scores; download video clips - such as sports wraps, comedy skits and news stories, as well as play games to your heart's content for free until the end of the year, that's right for nix). DON'T PAY FOR RINGTONES OR GAMES UNTIL NEXT YEAR. - Voice at 15c per 30secs + 25c flagfall (capped at $99 per month, i.e. basically all the voice calls you want to make in Australia and pay no more than $99 per month + make a call to another 3 mobile and the first 10 minutes is free). - SMS at 15c a message. - At least $32 worth of video calls included per month with a video calling handset (these mobiles can make real-time person-to-person video calls, get two so that you can see the one you love in person when you call). - No fixed period contract. If you are interested email your postal address to me at tommygunn01@hotmail.com and I will get a voucher from my friend and get it sent to you. The best value voice offer in the market with video talk & content the extras on top. For more details see the following. A phone plan with a joining fee, you've got to be joking. The plans for paying off the phones don't include any voice calls included either, just video. I signed up last week. The phone is good quality and has lots of features including a still and video camera, full colour, anamorphic ring tones, calender, to do list, calculator and heaps more. I shopped around with Optus, Telstra and Vodafone and for the same quality phone they wanted $60 + a month. With 3, i effectively pay $16 for 24 months with $32 a month of included video calls and they i pay for what i use on talk and sms. There talk rates are 0.25c flag + 15c for 30 seconds which are one of the cheapest around, if not the cheapest. SMS are also only 15c whereas they are 25c on the others. It is the best mobile phone deal going around, without question. I recommend you get one today.

Not according to their web site - http://www.telstra.com.au/mobile/mobiles/prices/plans.htm The lowest call rate is 18c and that requires you to pay $350 per month. 3 requires you to spend $16 per month to get 15c. If you spend $20 per month with Telstra, you are paying 47c for 30secs, you get $15 of included calls but you will need to buy your phone on top of that and to get a similar quality phone it would cost you another $30 + per month just for the phone. > > I supposed if you want video, it's your only option. This is probably more than enough for most people.

In this case I picked 15 cents per 30 seconds. I will stay with Telstra till the contract finishes. It's the least I can do with free handsets. Actually I like the Voda network. Where there is coverage, it's always excellent. They have people who can spell GPRS and can tell you what it is and how to use it. I like OPTUS land line, but their GSM doesn't work for me, anywhere. High dropout, poor quality and nothing gets done about it. I am talking 1km radius, capital city too. I have all three GSM carriers SIMs and constantly test them. >> >> >> I supposed if you want video, it's your only option. >> >
