Try this one out ....

Control Panel .... Modem ..... Select your modem .... Properties ....
Configure ..... Connection ..... Advance ......  change Standard
Modulation to NON-STANDARD ..... and add S202=32 to the init string
section

This might work for your modem providing that you upgraded it to V.90.
