I recently upgraded my USRobotics to a v90. With one ISP I would get only
connects upto 26.4, this happened with the 33.6 USRobotics as well. With another
ISP I get connects of up to 41.3 with file downloads of up to 5.0k per sec
(depending on the time of day). I connected a brand new Magitronics PCI v90 modem
to the same computer and the same ISP yesterday and would only connect at up to
28.8 . the Magitronics PCI v90 cost $89 Can, the USRobotics sells for about $189
Can. I guess you do get what you pay for maybe.
