Hi Folks. Any1 know if there is a standard V.90 aT command set (which will work with Lucent / USR / and Rockwell ) for things like: Turning off V.90 Setting a minimum and maximum speed etc, etc. I have tried all of the commands at the back of my USR Message Plus V.90 and found the codes (and those given by AT$) to be totally ineffectual, in fact just plain wrong!. Please can any1 shed some light on this issue? So far as it goes S32.0=1 seems to turn off V.90 on my modem (given after 45mins to USR support).....but will it work for all V.90 modems? Like the +MS codes do for (most) flex modems. Cheers. Kev.

The standard command for doing this is +MS. This is a TRUE standard, specified by the ITU in V.25ter. So it's up to 3COM to support the standard. They work fine here. S32.5=1 disables X2; S32.6=1 disables V.90 >So far as it goes S32.0=1 seems to turn off V.90 on my modem (given >after 45mins to USR support).....but will it work for all V.90 modems? >Like the +MS codes do for (most) flex modems. S32.0 (according to my manual) controls V.8 Call Indicate. The Courier uses a different register for the same features, and the Rockwell and Lucent modems are different again.
