I have the same problem on my machine and yes, I do run Norton AV, so maybe,
as someone else said, that's the problem. I solved it by taping my old watch
at the lower right corner of my monitor where I am used to looking for the
time. Unless you need to have the exact time on your PC for some
applications, this works well in telling you (well, in this case, ME) to get
off the ^^%*^&$& computer and get my @$$ to work
