k... this one's got me stumped...

the place that i work at has a cyrix 300mhz pc that runs incredibly slow. i
posted here about it recently and someone recommended i tried the 'sisoft
sandra' diagnostic util (cheers for that whoever it was...) so i did and
this is what it said:

1) memory access benchmarks were about a tenth of what sandra said PC100 ram
should be doing...
2) the cpu benchmarks put it at roughly half as fast as a 486 DX2-66...

so you see what i mean when i say slow.... the harddrive access on the
otherhand seemed normal. I've double checked the cmos setup and the cpu
appears to be correctly configured in there... if memory serves me right the
cpu is at 300mhz with a memory bus of 83mhz (?) checked for viruses... tried
getting rid of as many 'background' programs as possible to no avail...

Any theories would be greatly appreciated~!!
