Here is a question for you.

Name all the motherboard manufacturers that have their product carried by
both, not just one, of the top distributors in the world (i.e. Ingram Micro
and TechData).

Answer:

Intel, Micronics, AMI, EFA and you guessed it, Pcchips.

I don't recall asking for business advice.  Most qualified business
consultants cost thousands of dollars.  Are you giving it away for free or
am i getting what i paid for?

If you somehow were infering i would not run into problems with a different
brand motherboard, i can refer you to any number of newsgroups like:

Having personally built or rebuilt over 3000 systems, and overseeing many
thousand others in the last 11 years I have come to this conclusion on
warranty returns...

1 in 100 - have never seen it in motherboards

1 in 50 - maybe AMI, but it is probably more like 1 in 40

1 in 30 - just about everybody else, including Pcchips.

1 in 20 - everyones lowest end board (cheapest) including Intel, Asus,
Micronics, Pcchips, etc.

This is my own personal experiance...your mileage may vary...

So should i use AMI only?  Does the cost justify the quality? Do they have
the variety, availability, or the price i want?

We can't all drive a Jag...

For anyone who is insulkted that i lump Asus with Pcchips or Intel with
Shuttle or vice versa...

Buy 100 of each and do your own test...or save some time and money by
realizing this is a QC comparison only and an opinion...also...i'm sure
**insert favorite name brand here** motherboard is the best brand by
far...;-)
