Virus on a video card? That's a new one. Boy, those CompUSA guys are quite creative at boosting their sales. First, if you are overclocking the card and you've been doing this for a while, you might stop overclocking it and see what happens. If you still have the problem, the card could be fried. I'd also try updating your video drivers. In addition, I'd check to make sure your monitor cable is tightly attached to the card -- I've seen what you are describing happen with a loose cable. Better yet, if that doesn't help and you have another monitor handy, give that one a whirl. If all else fails, you probably have a card that went caput or is flawed. I'd check to see if your warranty is still valid and send it back to be checked out. -- Rob "Another User" <twashing@mail.comNOSPAM> wrote in message news:nN7M8.14584$2h1.2623981@twister.nyroc.rr.com... > I have a ELSA Erazor X graphics card with a nVidia GeForce 256 chipset. > Suddenly one day my screen went a tab bit darker and every window casted a > shadow horizontally across the screen.
