Paul, I guess I got two comments. If you're planning on doing Terminal
Emulation, I'd recommend against you purchasing a Pilot. I love my PalmPilot
Pro but a serious Terminal Emulator it is not. Quickie Terminal stuff, okay.
But for the long run...I'd recommend getting something with an 80 column
screen. You might take a look at HP's new entry (300LX I believe). It's a
WinCE machine that has a full 80 column screen.

If you're set on the Pilot for other/additional reasons, then I have comments
on Online... When I tested Online with my 28.8Kbps modem and Compuserve it
worked fine. I remember getting the "Please Register" messages but don't
remember it as being too often as the other Charlie mentions. Oh well... I
ended up registering Online through www.pilotgear.com as they would accept my
Credit Card over the phone (I'm nervous about using the Internet for purchases
still). Kenny West and I guess Iain Barclay (the programmer of Online) were
very fast in getting my code to me. For me, I plan to use my Pilot & Online to
program Network Hubs when I'm in the field. Better than nothing which is what
I had before.
