Greetings Paul,

What an excellent combination.  Has the HP been reliable as I am currently
looking at the Cassiopea which I found to my surprise was actually compaq's
version rebadged.

I have not heard of the "gsm cable modem" and really due to the speed
limitation of the digital network, (9600bps) would not feel that it would
be possible.  If any for of data compression to this extent was possible,
we would not be still talking 28.8-33 two line modems.

As a vt100 emulator, I believe that the next generation of data phones,
started by the overly expensive nokia 9000 and soon to be followed by the
8110i will give us the opportunity to log into home networks.
