I just use the ASUS cooler. The cpu gets as hot as 60 deg. The bios tell me on bootup that it runs 240MHz. In the following summay screen it tells me that it is running 250MHz. I believe the 250MHz setting is the correct one. The bios cpu temperature I dont believe. For starters it telles me that my cpu is over 40 deg right after turning it on (20 degrees over room temperature). This is with the 0108 bios. I will let my cpu run at 60 degrees as this is well below the 75 degrees considered the max temperature. If I just clock it at 225 (75*3), it gets a temperature of 54 degrees. I cannot remember what the temperature is when its not overclocked. My system: TX97-X, 2*32Mb SDRAM, Diamond Viper 330, Quantum Fireball. About that tx97 bios, when will we be able to control which interrupt lines will/will not trigger the powersafe mode? Other bios'es have the ability to control it, just the tx97 doesn't, which is strange as the manual says it is possible.
